On Tuesday, April 4th, the Syrian government used chemical weapons to murder almost a hundred of their own citizens, and injure hundreds more. I don't know what to say about this except that this is horrible and the people of Syria need our help. None of us can stop this violence on our own, but we can all do small things that add up: practice kindness towards one another, meditate, speak out and donate.
For anyone interested in the latter, check out the International Rescue Committee. They work in war zones and conflict areas all over the world, including Syria, and provide humanitarian aid to refugees.
For a list of additional organizations working to help, read this excellent Huffington Post article.
If you do make a donation, please tell us in the comments section below. I'll personally match all donations up to a total of $500 (my credit card limit).
